Right to Know, Support, & Resources

We believe that self-care and stress management are important, and encourage you to be mindful of the impact this situation may be having on all aspects of your life.

Centralia College recognizes that being involved in an investigation surrounding Title IX topics (sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and the issue of consent) is difficult.  Everyone included is affected in some way.  We want you to know that support and resources are available, both on and off campus.

Our processes and procedures are designed to provide equitable support and opportunity for the parties involved.  The College will seek to protect the privacy of the complainant to the full extent possible, consistent with the legal obligation to investigate, take appropriate remedial and/or disciplinary action, and comply with the federal and state law, as well as the College policies and procedures. The College cannot guarantee complete confidentiality.

WHAT IS SEXUAL MISCONDUCT?

Sexual misconduct is a type of violence that uses power, control, and/or intimidation to harm another. It includes nonconsensual sexual intercourse, nonconsensual sexual contact, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. Consent is a free and clearly given yes, not the absence of a no, and cannot be received when a person is incapacitated by alcohol or drugs.
