Healthcare

Healthcare is an umbrella term that houses numerous jobs, all with varying skills and responsibilities. There are frontline caregivers who provide direct care to patients, medical technologists that are certified in specific devices, and people who work in the offices of medical practices.

Each of these careers has its own specific academic preparations, and require different amounts of time to be “job-ready” - so students interested in a career in healthcare should work closely with an advisor when planning their coursework.

This area of study holds many opportunities for students with a wide set of interests and backgrounds, but with the common thread of providing excellent service to patients and making a difference in other people's lives.
